The News Behind "Tamasha Live"





The Marathi Film Industry is trying different genres and formats in the films, and I came across such film, Tamasha Live, which is streaming on Planet Marathi OTT.

The first attempt at doing a musical suspense thriller film is directed by Sanjay Jadhav, Produced by Akshay Bardapurkar, co-produced by Soumya Vilekar, Dr. Manisha Kishore Tolmare, Sameer Kelkar, Ajay Uparwat& the whole team of Planet Marathi, and all the star cast.

This is a fast-paced movie, with music, story, and screenplay running along. Also, this is a Multi Star Cast film. Sachit Patil, Sonalee Kulkarni , Siddharth Jadhav , Hemangi Kavi, Debutant Ayushi Bhave-Tilak, Rakesh Bhavsar, Nagesh Bhosale, Mrunal Deshpande, Subodh Ghadge, Bharat Jadhav, Pushkar Jog, Manmeet Pem, Yogesh Soman, and many more.

The film is about the politics behind News and Channels. Sanjay Jadhav has made it extremely fantastic to watch it on screen. The cinematography is mesmerizing.

Coming towards the role of artist,


Ashwin aka Sachit Patil is a news anchor, whose aim is to boost for Highest TRP for his news channel. He is a versatile actor and has made a point to carry each role, to his best performance. We can say, the main story of this film starts with him.


Shefali aka Sonalee Kulkarni, an aspiring news anchor, who wish to be on a big news channel and wants to excel in her life, falls for Ashwin when she sees him for the first time. But then the game of news politics enters her life, and she steps back. Her character flow rises before the interval, and the twist in the story makes Ashwin aka Sachit re-examine his skills of anchoring, and that was the moment where things start going in the wrong way for Ashwin.


Siddharth Jadhav and Hemangi Kavi, a multi- costume couple in the movie carry the screenplay forward and also keep maintaining the pace. They both are involved in every situation, and they carry the story through relatable songs, which directly mirror the situation in the ongoing movie.


Bharat Jadhav as Chief Minister is a surprise for everyone. His role is as important in the movie as Appa Goswami aka Subodh Ghadge in the film.

Mrunal Deshpande aka Malini Deshpande is a character with lots of twists and turns. She is the Opposition leader and thinks about her safe zone, and her self-ego to get satisfied.


Ayushi Bhave and Pushkar Jog have a short role, but they are sub-pillars, by which the story is revolving in the second half of the film.

Overall, this film should be promoted, and watched by everyone, to literally understand the proper gimmick and relations off-camera in News Industry and also the politics actually. It also gives us a reason to rethink watching news channels and consuming news in high amounts and also its effects on our health and mentality.
