Mili - Survival for the life

Its an long time , to praise acting of Janhavi Kapoor in this film. Well, again this is a remake of 2019 Malyalam film , Helen, which was directed by same Director Mathukutty Xavier.

The story has no complexity and is simple. Mili gets locked in a mall's referigator and the survival begins. We see a nice performance by Janhavi Kapoor , after a long time , even after shooting for Dhadak , her performance was a low remark , but this one made it glow her acting.

Supporting characters like Sunny Kaushal , Manoj Pahwa , Seema Pahwa and Vikram Kochhar also had fine acting and character.

As this is a female centric film , the focus was on Mili , and the minute work of the DOP , and creative director and producer should be praised. Especially the ant scene.

The film is produced by Boney Kapoor and Zee Studios. And the direction is quite fine.

Rather it took time to create a plot , before the first half , which become a slow paced , after interval , the story took pace and the scenes didn't lose track from the main subject.

Surviving at -18 degree celisus is not a joke , and in this film , the creators made it a point to stick to the screnplay and made it possible to showcase that.

The film has a special and small twist which also make us learn a life lesson , which is between the Watchman of the mall, and Manoj Pahwa, which was nice to watch.

We also see special apperance of Jackie Shroff in the film. The Music tracks are decent and carry forwad the screenplay.

Overall , a decent and one-time watch movie , is here in theatres to watch for. It is rated 8.4/10 on IMDB.
